Angels of Death

Angels of Death

7/19/22

Welcome back to another anime review this time we will cover the anime "Angels of Death." Hearing the name, you would think this would be about angels and stuff but it's actually not. It's actually about a 13-year-old girl by the name Rachel Gardener, wakes up in the basement of a weird building. She leaves the room she is in, to find cameras everywhere. As Rachel walks in the hallway, she finds an elevator, she goes in the elevator only to see it led to a floor that looks like a city. While she walks through the "city" she encounters a man looking to be in his 20's named Zack. Zack being a psychopathic killer, gives Rachel 3 second to run until he'll catch her and killer her. Rachel manages to get away only to be faced to face with another psychopath who wants to have her eyes. Zack "saves" her only to figure she's a psycho as well. Rachel and Zack make their way to the elevator. Once they're there Rachel asks Zack to kill her, but Zack being super dumb says they have to go through every floor of the building, coming face to face with other psychos, and near-death experiences, in order for Zack to killer Rachel.
Angels of Death is also actually based on a game of the same name. The plot and character are fairly similar and are both worth giving a shot. As well with this 2 manga adaption were made which received well reviews. Ports of the game have been made available on android and IOS devices so if you want to try it you could try to find it on your app store.
I would give this anime a 9/10 and I'm saying this now it's criminally underrated. The story of Rachael and Zack journeying throughout the building is very fun to watch especially with the twists that occur throughout the show. Meeting all the killers they come across and their backstory is amazing as well as how they deal with the killers to continue on to try to get out of the building. The ending was something that left everyone speechless and to this day they still are asking what truly happened especially me they truly let the viewer choose what they want to believe happened and that's a great thing to have. This is a great starter anime for anybody who wants to try to get into anime. Like I said it is so underrated and deserves more love for the effort they put into it especially the plot it was very well done. The backstory of both Rachael will shock you and add heavily to the plot of why she's there and what she wants to do. The only thing people may complain about is it is a bit predictable sometimes but that's where the twists come in the twists really shock you when they happen and could really bring out your emotions. Once again, I will heavily suggest watching this if you enjoy horror things or just are new to anime.
